Stand United and Stronger
Dear friends,
As the new National Executive Committee takes charge in the IJU, New Delhi, the family has bestowed upon me the most challenging task of giving the original and the oldest IJU a new direction. At a time when the fraternity is fragmented into many pieces mainly owing to placing individual interests ahead of the institutions, the survival of the Trade Union movement is in jeopardy.
To strengthen the IJU at the National level, the affiliated State Unions need to grow at the micro level. The larger the force the better it will be to take on the divisive forces in the days to come.
The only way to safeguard the Trade Union movement is for all stakeholders to sink the differences and come together on a common platform. It is imperative to understand each other’s needs and sentiments. Mutual respect will benefit in achieving common goals.
Mud slinging at each other and washing dirty linen in public are avoidable pastimes. Instead, all stakeholders need to focus on making the Trade Union movement stronger at a time when the very existence of it is being threatened. Remember, United we stand, divided we fall.
Jai Hind!
